Wow, the school year went by so fast. This year has been so successful and I am so happy to have been a part of the Saint Brigid Day School!
As the year comes to a close I would like to say how much I have appreciated the all of the other teachers and administrators I had the opportunity to work with. Diane and Teresa, Carmel, Tania and Terri, Mary Liz and Laura, Kim and Gina, Tricia and Tracie, Colleen and Kirsten, and of course Ms. Bonnie! Each and every one of them has been so supportive and helpful during my first year of teaching. I felt so lost in the beginning, just like a new kid at preschool, but have now come to understand that I can handle more than I think I can.
I am so excited to have this opportunity in India this summer. As my departure date gets closer and closer, I keep thinking about the changes in my life that are about to ensue. Looking back on the photos I took 5 years ago confirms that this is what I was meant to do, and where I should be. I recently compiled some pictures from my last visit, and remembering the children I had to opportunity to teach 5 years ago-- their shining happy faces, exuberance to learn, and depth of understanding human nature that comes from living a life of poverty-- reminds me of humbling and spiritual experience it was. Although I don’t know exactly what I am looking for, I feel that this is the path to find it.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVT08M3XOCSbOuPhIsUvV_Di8PoCkNRgPHUezO7gqxKGegdgZ87zZn-83eZbjNX7EP_A0SJ41dyA5rzT-qZvvgMxgUWZZWYVQoCYMCfkttPVZEMSoAD5KCoTQcH0RXA2fp_dnStzQq41A/s320/goodbyestuff+200.jpg)
